Some Pike Action.

Some Pike Action.

Postby dodger on Sun Jun 28, 2009 6:06 pm

I was at Lit Bow on Saturday and the Pike fishing was slow until I found where they were hiding. There must have been a big storm or really high winds because 1/3 of the lake had really murky water ( S.W. end ). This was were the Pike were, they were cruising where the clear water and murky water met. After some good action I tried my favorite Perch spots with no luck. I'm not sure what depth there sitting at this time of year? I usually find them no problem but no luck so far this year.

Thanks for the report dodger. Wondering if the Pike are starting to head deep or are still found in the shallows?

Cheers,

All the Pike were caught trolling at 15'-20' and nothing in the shallower water. I can generally pick up a couple of nice ones in 6' of water but this trip it was zippo / nadda / and dead in the shallows.
